How battles work

- [1] Hit never misses. Later you can swap it for Quick Hit, which is weaker but always goes first.
- [2]–[4] are your DUCKMON's own moves, learned at Lv 1, 5 and 12. A fourth arrives at Lv 16: choose which three to bring in Team & Upgrades > Moves.
- [S] Special hits twice as hard, once per battle. Unlock it in Team & Upgrades. Your starter's is free at Lv 3.
- [G] Guard takes a third of the damage and jabs back. Guardians and trainers save their own Special for when they're hurt, so that's a good time to guard.
- Elements matter: a strong matchup hits for x1.5, a weak one for x0.8. The bottom of the battle screen tells you which you have.
Your adventure
Each area ends with a Guardian. Beat it to open the next area and that area's Gym. HP carries over between fights on a trip until you head home.

At the World Gate, speak three words you've collected and the Gate builds a realm from them: 700 possible realms, and the same words always make the same place. A few word combinations hide secret realms, and 3 of them guard a Mythic DUCKMON you'll only ever find there.
What's in the game
- 40 DUCKMON
- 20 to hatch, their evolutions, and 3 hidden Mythics. New ones only come from eggs.
- 52 moves
- Plus 16 Specials. The Move Album keeps track of every one you've learned.
- Real time
- Energy refills while you're away (1 point every 2 minutes), eggs incubate and missions come home. A worn-out team rests at the Duck Center.
- Trading cards
- Win cards in battle or open packs, and complete an element set for a reward.
- Missions and gear
- Send a spare DUCKMON on a timed mission for gold and gear, then equip gear to boost your team.
- Friends
- Share a team code so a friend can battle your team, or trade DUCKMON with a code.

Tips for your first hour
- Wild DUCKMON never join you. Build your team from eggs: buy them in the Hatchery or find them on the trail.
- A duplicate hatch turns into dust. Spend dust in Team & Upgrades for an instant level.
- Sneaking past a wild DUCKMON works most of the time, and saves HP before a Guardian.
- Some trail encounters have choices that need a certain element on your team, like a Fire DUCKMON at the Lava Geyser.
- Merchants and mysterious strangers whisper rumors. They're hints at the three words for secret realms.
Your save
Your game saves in this browser after every change. Saves never leave your device. Download a copy now and then: some browsers, including Safari on iPhone and iPad, clear site data after about a week without a visit.
Move to another device
Copy a save code here, send it to yourself, then paste it on the other device and choose Use save code.
Start over
Deletes the game, its settings, and its backups from this browser, then starts a brand-new game. Download your save first if you want to keep it.

Is DUCKMON free?
Yes. There's no account, no ads on this page, and nothing to buy.
Do I need to install anything?
No. The game runs Python inside your browser. The first visit downloads about 13 MB, which your browser keeps for next time.
Where is my game saved?
Only in this browser on this device. It saves after every change. To play on another device, use a save code from Your save.
The game won't start. What can I do?
Update your browser and reload the page. DUCKMON needs a recent Chrome, Edge, Firefox or Safari. Private or locked-down browsers can block the storage it uses for saves.
Is there a calculator version?
