Scan a DOCX file
What this tool checks
Review content beyond the normal document view
- Text marked as hidden or styled to be difficult to see
- Comments, tracked changes, revisions, headers, and footers
- Author, last-modified-by, and other document properties
- External relationships, text boxes, alternate text, and embedded objects
What the results mean
The inspector reports review signals from supported DOCX structures. It does not determine authorship, intent, or whether every possible concealed element was found.
Hidden Word Scanner leaves the uploaded file unchanged and presents findings for human review. A clean scan is not a guarantee that a document is safe or complete.
Read the complete Word document inspection guide or review the scanner methodology and limitations.
